Does this scarf and this scarf look a lot alike or is it my imagination?
Given the time and patience, could you design something like this without referencing either? Using the same font? The same colors?
Because Knitty says:
"... you may not sell them [printed out patterns] or items made FROM Knitty patterns." (from here.) And the gal with the binary scarf on dA is selling them for around $20 a pop.
I'm sure it's a giant misunderstanding, but if not...grrr. That's actually downright Slytherin of the girl: slightly reformat the pattern, then sell the finished product to a portion of the population who, in all likelihood, are as unaware of knitty as a lobster of butter (before dinner, of course).
